Burlington Council Work Session Today

THE BURLINGTON CITY COUNCIL HOLDS ONE OF ITS EVERY-OTHER-MONDAY WORK SESSIONS THIS(MON) AFTERNOON AND…OF COURSE…WILL DISCUSS NEXT YEAR’S BUDGET.

MEMBER TIM SCOTT SAYS THERE’S TOO MUCH DWELLING ON THE PAST GOING ON. SCOTT SERVED PREVIOUS TIME ON THE COUNCIL…SOME YEARS AGO…INCLUDING A TERM AS MAYOR.

IN ADDITION, THE RIVERFRONT ADVISORY COMMITTEE’S REQUEST TO APPROACH THE BURLINGTON-NORTHERN-SANTA FE RAILROAD ABOUT DEVELOPING 10 MORE ACRES OF RIVERFRONT PROPERTY SOUTH OF THE AUDITORIUM IS STILL “HANGING FIRE”…AND PLANNING & PARKS DIRECTOR ERIC TYSLAND(TIZZ-lund) WILL ANSWER ANY MORE QUESTIONS THE COUNCIL MAY HAVE, ABOUT PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE CITY’S TREE ORDINANCE, TO HELP IT DEAL WITH THE EMERALD ASH BORER.

TODAY’S(MON) MEETING IS AT 4:30 ON THE THIRD FLOOR OF CITY HALL AND THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME.
