The decision has been made. The West Burlington School Board will look to hire a school resource officer.
However, Superintendent Dave Schmitt says it will only be part time. If the .4 FTE is approved by the city, it will cost the school district $30,000, unlike the full-time position which would cost close to $48,000.
The West Burlington City Council meets tomorrow(Weds) night at 6. The district hope to have an SRO ready to start after this summer.
