DOWNTOWN BURLINGTON’S CAPITOL THEATER IS ANNOUNCING THE NEXT TWO MOVIES IN ITS INDEPENDENT FILM SERIES, SHOWN EVERY TUESDAY NITE.

 

THE FIRST ONE…ENTITLED “NEXT GOAL WINS”…IS SCHEDULED FOR NEXT TUESDAY, THE 18TH. IT TELLS THE STORY OF THE AMERICAN SAMOA SOCCER TEAM…WHICH HADN’T WON A GAME IN FOUR YEARS…AND LOST TO AN AUSTRALIAN SQUAD 31 TO NOTHING. NEW COACH THOMAS RONGEN (OF THE NETHERLANDS) IS GIVEN A MONTH TO TURN THE RAMSHACKLE TEAM INTO WINNERS. THE SECOND OFFERING…ON THE 25TH…IS “THE FORGOTTEN KINGDOM”…IS ABOUT A MAN WHO HAS LEFT HIS HOMELAND…A REMOTE AFRICAN VILLAGE…BUT HAS TO RETURN TO BURY HIS ESTRANGED FATHER. IN THE PROCESS, HE FALLS IN LOVE WITH A CHILDHOOD FRIEND WHO HAS GROWN INTO A RADIANT YOUNG SCHOOLTEACHER.
