Stolen Vehicle and Shots Fired at Catfish Bend Casino

Burlington Police have taken a suspect into custody in connection with an incident last night at the Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington.

At around 9:10 last night, the Division of Criminal Investigation’s Special Enforcement Operations Bureau at the Casino recieved a report of someone breaking into vehicles in the casino’s parking garage. The subject was described as a black male wearing a heavy overcoat and stocking hat. A DCI agent responded to the location and was almost hit by the man who had stolen an employee’s vehicle. The agent moved out of the way and fired 3 shots at the vehicle. The subject ended up hitting the agent’s patrol car and sped away.

No one was hurt and the stolen vehicle was located a short time later. The BPD currently has a suspect in custody.
