Developers’ Tax Credits to be Scrutinized by City Council

TAX ABATEMENTS FOR DEVELOPERS WAS ON THE BURLINGTON CITY COUNCIL’S “CONSENT” AGENDA LAST WEEK…BUT AT LEAST ONE PERSON DIDN’T FEEL IT’S ROUTINE BUSINESS…AND LEON SHAHAN  SAID SO AT THE MEETING.

 

THE COUNCIL THIS(MON) AFTERNOON WILL ALSO DISCUSS AN UPCOMING OPEN HOUSE REGARDING THE EMERALD ASH BORER…THE MONTHLY TREASURER’S REPORT…AND STREET PARKING WHEN IT SNOWS. TODAY’S(MON) MEETING STARTS AT 4:30.

 

THE BURLINGTON SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONITE(MON) AT 7 AND WILL HOLD A SECOND PUBLIC HEARING ON THE SALE OF THE FORMER WASHINGTON SCHOOL PROPERTY AT AGENCY & CURRAN. THE DISTRICT FAILED TO GET NOTICE FOR THE FIRST HEARING TO THE NEWSPAPER.
