Patricia Ann Reynolds, 79, of Burlington, Iowa, died at her home under the loving care of Great River Home Hospice on Monday, February 24, 2014.
Born on August 21, 1934 in Fort Madison, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Hazel Wilson Junkins. She married Richard W. Reynolds on April 3, 1954 in Burlington, Iowa.
Patricia was a seamstress at Burlington Tent & Awning for many years. She enjoyed short day trips to antique stores and garage or yard sales. She enjoyed collecting antiques, quilting, sewing, flower gardening, yard ornaments, playing cards and teaching all the kids to play cards and games. She loved cooking and teaching the kids how to cook. Her favorite season was Christmas. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; four daughters, Julie (David) Myers, Jean (Blair) Klein, Joyce Shull and Joan (Darren) Reynolds, all of Burlington, Iowa; one son, John (Debra) Reynolds of Burlington, Iowa; five grandchildren, Racheal, Andrea, Amanda, Joshua and Caleb; six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jensen, Jayden, Julianne, Samera and Ava; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, one grandson and one son-in-law.
Funeral services for Patricia Reynolds will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Prugh’s Chapel, Burlington, Iowa. Pastor Terry Vance will officiate. Interment will be in Carman Cemetery, Carman, Illinois. Following interment a light lunch will be served at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1015 S. Roosevelt Ave., Burlington, Iowa.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. in Prugh’s Chapel. A memorial has been established in memory of Patricia Reynolds. Condolences may be left at www.prughfuneralservice.com.
