Burlington Budget Hearing Tonight

THE BURLINGTON CITY COUNCIL WILL HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS TONITE(MON) ON NEXT YEAR’S BUDGET AND ON TWO BOND ISSUES TOTALING 5.6-MILLION DOLLARS.

 

AS WE TOLD YOU EXCLUSIVELY LAST WEEK, MOODY’S INVESTORS SERVICE HAS DECIDED TO NOT DOWNGRADE THE CITY’S A2 BOND-RATING, MEANING THE INTEREST BURLINGTON PAYS ON ITS BORROWING PROBABLY WON’T RISE. TONITE’S(MON) MEETING IS AT 6:30 AND THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND AND COMMENT.

 

THE WEST BURLINGTON SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONITE(MON) 7 FOR A WORK SESSION ABOUT OPEN ENROLLMENT AND A BUDGET PROPOSAL. LAST FRIDAY ON “THE TALK SHOW,” BOARD MEMBER JAY DAY SAID HE’LL CONTINUE TO PUSH FOR A SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER.   TONITE’S(MON) MEETING WILL BE HELD IN THE BOARD ROOM, 607 RAMSEY STREET.
