Nothing’s official yet, but the man in charge of keeping Burlington’s water flowing says it appears that a 16-foot section of the “main” that went down two weekends ago is missing from it’s usual spot under Flint Creek.
Waterworks Director Allen Borden didn’t want to speculate as to what may have happened, but he told us he hopes to have more information by tonight or tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, the city’s water continues to be re-routed through a backup “main” that runs parallel to the other one.
