Lady Nikes Leave Town in Style for State Tourney

THE BURLINGTON NOTRE DAME COMMUNITY SAID GOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK TO THE LADY NIKES BASKETBALL TEAM YESTERDAY(SUN), AS THEY HEADED TO DES MOINES AND THE STATE TOURNAMENT.

 

COACH KOLLIN ALFRED SAID IT’S BEEN AN UP-AND-DOWN YEAR.  PRINCIPAL RON GLASGOW…WHO WAS GIVEN A SPECIAL AWARD FOR HIS SUPPORT…IS RETIRING AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AND SAYS  HE NEVER THOUGHT HE’D STAY AS LONG AS HE DID (7 YEARS), AFTER 35 YEARS IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.

NOTRE DAME ENGLISH TEACHER MARY-JO MILLER GAVE HER TRADITIONAL SALUTE TO THE NIKES, IN POETRY FORM, IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER.
