Hearing to Rezone Former Manor Property

THE BURLINGTON CITY COUNCIL WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TOMORROW(MON) NITE ON AN ORDINANCE TO RE-ZONE THE FORMER FLINT HILLS MANOR PROPERTY AT ROOSEVELT AND MARKET STREETS FROM MULTI- AND TWO-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO C-2; THAT’S GENERAL COMMERCIAL WITH A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT OVERLAY ZONE.

 

ACCORDING TO THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPER, OMAHA, NEBRASKA-BASED DIAL REALTY, FIVE ACRES IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE 28-ACRE PROPERTY WILL BE USED FOR SENIOR HOUSING…WITH THE REST DEVELOPED FOR RETAIL & COMMERCIAL USE…GREEN SPACE…WATER RETENTION…AND STREETS & PARKING. THE AREA WILL BE KNOWN AS BURLINGTON CROSSING. TOMORROW(MON) NITE’S MEETING IS AT 6:30.
