The Des Moines County Conservation Department is now taking reservations for it’s new cabin at Big Hallow.
Director Chris Lee says you’ll find a lot of helpful information on the county conservation department’s “Cabin” Page.
“We have a list of things we suggest you bring because it is a primitive cabin, so you’ll have to bring a lot of stuff yourself…”
If you’re wondering if a “primitive” cabin is right for you, there’s an open house scheduled for the end of this month…
“The last Saturday in March from 12-4pm we’ll be out there. We’ll walk you through it and we can make you’re reservations right there on the spot. The first day will be April 1st and it’s open all the way through October 31st.”
