When his car hit the ditch, it rolled several times, struck a power pole, and came to rest on it’s top in an open field. Adams was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to OSF St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg with moderate injuries.
Adams was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt.
