Iowa Weather Includes Twisters

At least one tornado…possibly two…were reported early last(Sun) nite in eastern Iowa.

 

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department says a twister was spotted near Lone Tree around 6 o’clock. No damage nor injuries were reported. About half-an-hour before that…around 5:30 yesterday afternoon…deputies in Washington County saw a tornado about a mile east of Richmond. Again, no injuries or property damage.

 

It was quite windy in the Burlington area early this(Mon) morning, with city police reporting a utility pole down near Sunnyside and Douglas, west of Roosevelt.
Rainfall totals from Sunday were just under an inch in Burlington and 1.8 inches near Ft. Madison.
