The flames were contained to the kitchen and a wall above it…but there was smoke damage throughout a house at 22-44 River Road in Keokuk yesterday(Sun) morning.
No one was hurt. Keokuk firefighters got the initial call at 9:35…and when they arrived, they were told that the fire was just off the kitchen in the rear of the house.
A crew stayed on the scene for about three hours and they’re still investigating to try and find what caused the blaze.
