Bees Take Snow-Shortened Game in Ft. Wayne

The Burlington Bees beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps 4-2 last night in eastern Indiana, in a game shortened to seven innings by snow.

The Bees’ Mark Shannon was 3 for 4 with two of those hits doubles…and three RBI’s.  Weather permitting, they’ll go at it again tonight and you can hear the game on KBUR, beginning with Michael Broskoski’s pregame show at 5:45.

Western Illinois University has re-hired former assistant men’s basketball coach Billy Wright to succeed Jim Molinari as head coach of the Leathernecks.  He’ll be introduced at a news conference at 2 o’clock this afternoon.  In addition to being Molinari’s assistant for five years…the last three as Associate Head Coach…Wright played for Molinari at Bradley.  Last season, Wright was an assistant coach at Ball State.
