With rainy and snowy conditions yesterday in southeast Iowa, many residents were beginning to give up hope that they would see the first lunar eclipse of 2014. Fortunately, the skies cleared up and the “blood moon” was captured by many residents on their cameras.

The effect lasted about 3.5 hours.
