TinCaps Beat Bees; LakeCo Next

There was no snow involved this time, but the Burlington Bees lost “big” to the Ft. Wayne TinCaps last night, 13-3 in northeast Indiana.

With the defeat, the Bees fall to 6-5, while Ft. Wayne is now 4-7.  The two teams will wrap up their series this morning at 10:05 and the Bees will then head to Lake County for a 3-game set against the Captains.   By the way, you can hear today’s game on “gobees.com.”

The BHS girls beat Assumption, Durant and Davenport Central in a quadrangular.(Burlington’s Jadyn Ziegler was the medalist with a 42.)

The New London boys and girls swept Winfield-Mt.Union in dual meets

The Mt. Pleasant boys beat Keokuk 162-181

The Mt. Pleasant girls also defeated Keokuk

The Central Lee girls placed 3rd out of 7 teams at the Centerville tournament

The Washington boys got by Columbus 172-175 and the Columbus girls placed third in a triangular at Washington
