Correction: BHS Student Finalist in Doodle 4 Google Competition

A Burlington High School student is a finalist for the Doodle 4 Google competition.

In a press release, they did not reveal the name of the student, but plan to announce more information Monday.

This student entered the Doodle 4 Google Competition with a task of redesigning the Google logo inspired by this years theme “If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place..”.

There will be an assembly in the Burlington High School gym at 11am Tuesday where two representatives from Google will be present to award the student as Iowa’s Doodle 4 Google winner.

The overall prize is a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school. No awards have been given as of yet.

On June 9th, the national winner’s doodle will be featured on the U.S. Google homepage for 24 hours, after being animated by the Doodle team.
