SCC Hosts STEM Festival

There’s been a big push in schools for STEM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) because those are the qualities needed for a good paying job these days.

Yesterday (Saturday) was a STEM Festival at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, which was an opportunity for young kids and adults to learn about careers in STEM fields.

Dana Klesner with the Lee County Economic Development Group says STEM careers are growing in southeast Iowa and at yesterday’s STEM Festival there was a chance to learn about 3-D printing, exploring levitation, programming a robot, and much more.
