Lightning Causes Major Damage to Lee Co. Conservation Office

Employees at the Lee County Conservation Office are moving temporarily to the north Lee County office building’s conference room due to large amounts of damage done to the facility over the weekend.

Lightning hit the building, and according to Lee County Board of Supervisors Chairman Ernie Schiller, there’s no way anyone can work there right now..

And the list goes on. Schiller says he’s not sure how much it will cost to repair because every contractor he’s talked to is swamped….

Since it happened over the weekend, no one was injured.
