A 2-year-old girl was pronounced dead at Great River Medical Center last night after being struck by a vehicle in the Midtown Motel parking lot in Burlington.
Officers arrived at the scene at around 9:30 last night and are calling it a hit-and-run. Authorities this morning say they believe to have located the vehicle and are in the process of talking to a person of interest.
The name of the child is not being released pending notification of family members.
