When we talked to Organizer Brad Selby, he said there were around 300 people already registered for the 19th Annual Great River Bridge Race, and it’s not too late to join if you aren’t signed up…

Selby explains the route the runners will be taking…

All proceeds go to three different charities. Selby says the racers get to decide whether they want their $25 to go to the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter, Young House Family Services, or the Dankwardt Pool Improvement Fund. After it’s all said and done, there will be an award ceremony..

It starts at 8am. For more information you can check out the Great River Bridge Race Facebook Page or contact the Burlington Convention and Tourisim Bureau at 800-82-RIVER.

The caption says: “Five weeks prior to opening the new bridge to traffic, the official “Bridge Walk” was held with approximately 15,000 people participating.”
