Purple and Gray Surpass Fundraising Goal for Bracewell

The Purple and Gray Foundation had a big surprise for their crowd last night at the Bracewell Stadium Renovation Pep Rally.

That surprise was that they had surpassed their original fundraising goal of $3.5-million and raised $4.1-million through private donations and a $1-million pledge from the Burlington Community School District for the stadium updates. We asked Purple and Gray Foundation President Kevin Mueller, what those extra dollars will be used for…

The first phase of the project is the pressbox with new restrooms, consession stand and additional parking, with construction starting right away…

In the renovation plans is also updated locker rooms, a reconstructed field, a new scoreboard and sound system, a reconditioned and relocated victory bell and plaza, a new lighting system, repaired walls and other updates to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
