The Cedar Rapids Kernels broke their 8-game losing streak yesterday, at the expense of the Burlington Bees.
The Kernels overcame a 3-run deficit and defeated the Bees on Community Basket Day, 7-6. Burlington travels to Davenport to face the Quad-Cities River Bandits tonight at 7 and you can hear the game on KBUR, beginning with the pre-game show at 6:40.

In girls high school golf, the Iowa regional first-round tournaments get underway.
And former BHS track star Khanishah Williams…now at junior at Iowa…won the Big-10 championship in the high jump. She went 5-9 ¼.
