No Power, No Game in D-port

The Burlington Bees and Quad Cities River Bandits were not able to complete their game at Modern Woodmen Park on the Davenport riverfront last night.

The power went out during the 7th inning with the teams tied at four, so the game was suspended until the next time the Bees and Bandits play in Burlington, early next week.   Meanwhile, the Bees are back home tonight, to begin a 3-game series with the Peoria Chiefs.   You can hear all the action on KBUR.

On the high school sports schedule today, the Iowa state track & field meet gets underway in Des Moines with a number of local competitors taking part. The Illinois girls state track & field meet also begins today, as does the Iowa girls tennis individual regionals.
