Bees Lose to Chiefs; Maldonado Gold at State Track & Field Meet

The Burlington Bees lost to the Peoria Chiefs 4-3 at Community Field last night, even though both starting pitchers dominated the hitters for the first six innings.

The Bees’ Clint Sharp had allowed just two hits and two runs, but only one of them earned…and the Chiefs’ Rob Kaminsky had eight strikeouts and allowed only one hit.   The Bees scored three runs in the 8th inning but the Chiefs answered with two in the 9th, to win it.   The two teams will play again tonight and tomorrow night in Burlington and you can hear both games on KBUR.
