Controlled Burn Not So Controlled, Causes HendCo Accident

No one was injured, but three vehicles collided on Carman Road…about a mile north of Carman…around 7 yesterday(Thur) morning.

Henderson County deputies say one car was headed south and the driver’s vision was obscured by smoke from a controlled burn in an adjacent field. The vehicle swerved into the other lane and was struck by the second car, pushing the first vehicle into the ditch, where it was also hit by a third vehicle. Again, no one was hurt.

In another accident, 51-year old Kelli Utter of Burlington escaped injury when she rolled her car at Tama Road and 91st Avenue around 9:20 last(Thur) night. She was ticketed for Suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated.
