In one of the few local legislative races, 84th District Republican Representative Dave Heaton of Mt. Pleasant easily beat GOP challenger Ralph Holmstrom, also from Mt. Pleasant.
There was no competition for any of the Henry County elected offices, although Democrat Mary Hoyer will challenge Republican incumbent Mark Lindeen for a Supervisor’s seat, come November.
