Thirsty Burglar Hits Cash Store

The break-in we first told you about yesterday morning at Hometown Cash Advance in Burlington…was apparently committed by a man with a big thirst and not much patience.

Police caught up with Dan Fritzjunker of Mt. Pleasant at the McDonald’s restaurant on North Roosevelt a few minutes later. He admitted he had gone to the business at 2830 Mt. Pleasant Street around 4am to apply for a loan. When he realized it was closed, he broke in to get money for more alcohol, but the alarm scared him off.

If convicted, Fritzjunker could go to prison for up to five years.
