Larry Lee Schrader, age 69 of Wapello, died Monday June 16, 2014 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. The son of Ray and Alice (Miller) Schrader, he was born July 8, 1944 at Grandview, Iowa. On February 8, 1964 he married Donna Kay Crow; she died June 10, 2007. He was a graduate of the Wapello high School. He worked for JI Case in Burlington. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed building boats, NASCAR, and in earlier years did some drag racing.
Survivors include: one daughter, Robyn Mitchell and one son Rick Schrader both of Wapello; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and three brothers.
Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be June 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kossuth Cemetery in Mediapolis with Rev.Dean Graber officiating. A general memorial has been established in his name.
Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis is assisting the family with arrangements.
