Iowa Gov Terry Branstad was in Keokuk yesterday and re-signed the Iowa Apprentiship and Job Training Act.
The Keokuk Area Hospital has been struggling with finances for a while, and by signing this bill again, the Hospital will receive a loan of up to $5-million.
Branstad told the people in attendance that they’ve altered the bill a little in order to give the Keokuk Hospital some breathing room when paying back some debt.
The hospital will recieve the funding in July.
