The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of residential owners being contacted by people offering to black top driveways.
The person seeking work often claims to have left over materials from another job. Upon completion, the requested payment is much higher than the homeowner anticipated.
Area residents are cautioned not to enter into such agreements without first checking business backgrounds or references. Any person suspicious of unsolicited requests for work or services, or feel they are being pressured to accept such work or services should immediately contact the Sheriff’s Office at 734-8383 .
