Alcohol Involved in Fatal Boat Accident

New details have emerged about the boating accident that took the life of 22-year-old Derrick Hull on Argyle Lake in Colchestor, Illinois back in May.

According to an Illinois Boat Accident Report, Hull had been drinking and had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.119. His friend, 22-year-old Dustin Tangerose was able to swim to shore after the supposedly stolen jon boat capsized. The report concluded that Tangerose had also been drinking. He was cited for loaded firearms in his vehicle, trespass to watercraft, possession of alcohol and no personal flotation devices. No alcohol is allowed in the Argyle State Park between Jan 1st and May 31st. The accident happened on May 13th.

It’s still not known why the job boat overturned.
