4th of July Events

There are several places to see some fireworks and to celebrate the 4th of July in our area.

The big West Burlington 4th of July Celebration is today.

6:30-10:30am: Pancake Breakfast
10:30am: Praise Service
11-4pm: Children Games
Noon: Outdoor Stage Events
2pm: Cherry pie-Eating Contest
3pm: Kids Parade
4pm:4th of July Parade
4pm-6pm: Live Music
8pm: Raffle Drawing
10pm: Fireworks

Also today….

In Burlington, there will be fireworks at the Burlington Golf Club beginning at dusk.

In Fort Madison, Charlie Korschgen Kiddie Parade starts at 10am. The city band concert will begin at 7:30pm but fireworks have been postponed due to flooding.

The Donnellson Fourth of July Parade is at 6 p.m., starting with registration at Maple and Oak streets. All entries must be registered by 5:30 p.m. An ice cream social and dinner will follow at the Pilot Grove Savings Bank Community Room.

Keokuk Independence Day Celebration is all day in Rand Park. A fireworks display is 9 p.m. To learn more, call (319) 524-2050 or email apeevler@ cityofkeokuk.org.

Keosauqua Lions Fourth of July Celebration is all day at the Keosauqua city park, with activities, refreshments, entertainment and fireworks.

Macomb, Il. Fourth of July starts with entertainment at 6 p.m. at Hanson Field, Western Illinois University. Macomb Municipal Band plays at 8 p.m. before fireworks at dusk.

Old-Fashion Fourth of July includes a parade at 4:30 p.m., train, trolley and carousel rides, food, music, fireworks at dark and more at McMillan Park in Mount Pleasant.
