More Rain Overnight; Flooding Assessment Officials On the Way

We did get some more rain last(Sat) night, but it’s not expected to make a big difference in the flood forecast.

In Burlington, Roosevelt Avenue flooded…as it always does…there were sporadic power outages in the North Hill area…and a few tree branches came down. Authorities say there was more of a storm…and more damage…to the south of Burlington…in Lee, Hancock, McDonough, Scotland and Clark Counties.

In addition, Linda Roose from Iowa Homeland Security will be in the area tomorrow(Mon)…and other state and federal disaster assessment officials will arrive in Lee and Des Moines Counties Tuesday and Wednesday, to confirm the damage to local businesses and public property, respectively.
