Jack Hatch and Dave Loebsack will each pay Burlington a visit this(Sat) afternoon.
Congressman Loebsack…facing a third challenge by Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks…is scheduled to arrive at the new County Democratic headquarters on Osborn Street around 1 o’clock, while would-be governor Hatch probably won’t get there until after 2. In an on-air interview yesterday(Fri), Terry Branstad’s opponent said there’s at least one big need in Iowa that the incumbent has refused to address — the state’s (roads & bridges) infrastructure.
By the way, Hatch’s running mate…Lt. Governor candidate Monica Vernon…will speak to Lee County Democrats at their annual Eppers-O’Malley Banquet this(Sat) evening between 4 and 7 at the Ft. Madison Eagles Hall on Avenue O.
The election is November 3rd.
