Two women in separate vehicles were seriously injured late last(Sat) night when they collided north of Mediapolis.
Des Moines County Sheriff’s deputies say a van was headed south on Highway 61, when a westbound passenger car on 260th Street pulled out onto the Highway and they struck each other, nearly head-on. The van driver was taken by ambulance to Great River Medical Center, and the driver of the other vehicle was airlifted by MedForce helicopter to Iowa City.
No other details have been released yet by the State Patrol.
