Hundreds of people gathered at the corner of S. Gunnison and Aetna yesterday afternoon in Burlington. Many were holding candles and wearing the color red.
Although officials have not confirmed a motive for the shooting of 50-year-old Eddie Martin of Burlington who was shot on that corner Wednesday while riding his bike, many believe it had something to do with him wearing the color red.
Mayor Shane Mccampbell spoke fondly of Martin, who was also known as “Ed Lover”…
One of Martin’s younger brothers, Kurstan Davenport, told us that’s he’s still in shock…
As for the shooter, 38-year-old Josh Royer of Burlington, he remains in the county jail with a cash only bond of $250,000. He’s been charged with first degree murder.
