At this meeting however, Loebsack was presented with the award by the National Association of Community Health Centers, the Distinguished Community Health Advocate Award.
CFO of the health center, Rod Ramsey, brought up one issue that they are struggling with right now, and that’s funding for Behavioral Health..
Loebsack assured Ramsey he was on his side, and that there is bipartisan support for a solution in Congress, but Behavioral Health is something that needs to be made better aware of and it’s an issue that people need to start opening up about…

After the award ceremony, we asked him about how his campaign was coming and about the recent poll that showed he and his opponent, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, are neck-and-neck in the race…

Loebsack will meet with southeast Iowa citizens again tomorrow from 1-3pm at the home of John and Roxy Riessen. Their address is 10982 Wood Duck Cove Road in West Burlington.
