Branstad Spends Day in Mt. Pleasant

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad spent a good chunk of his day in Mt. Pleasant yesterday, as his tour of all 99 Iowa counties wrapped up.

His first stop in the Henry County town was at West Liberty Foods for a tour. He then went to Old Threshers, and eventually made his way to Union Block, which is where we caught up with him for the ribbon cutting…

Branstad goes to every county every year. His final stop in Mt. Pleasant was at Iowa Wesleyan College where they unveiled the James Harlan Statue.

He was then off to Louisa County, his 99th county to visit. They stopped in Columbus Junction where he and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds toured the Simply Soothing facility, the home of a popular bug soother.
