Agents, Cops Nab Lee County Marijuana Dealers

Two Lee County men will face felony and misdemeanor drug charges, following a traffic stop.

60-year old Michael Moore of (507 Iowa Joe Street, Apt. B4) West Point…and 25-year old Bryan Jones of (520 North 5th) Keokuk are both facing counts of selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school or public park, respectively…Jones while carrying a gun, second or subsequent offense…drug tax stamp violations…maintaining a drug house…and possessing drug paraphernalia. If convicted of all charges, Moore could be sentenced to more than 127 years in prison, while Jones…who’s also accused of simple marijuana possession…could receive a sentence of more than 103 years.

Lee County Narcotics Task Force Commander Stacy Weber credited the County Attorney’s office…the Keokuk & West Point Police Departments…the Ft. Madison prison K-9 Unit…and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department…for their help with the investigation.
