The Illinois Department of Agriculture has released a list of where applications for medical marijuana cultivation center licenses came from.
In State Police District-14…which includes Henderson, Hancock, Warren, McDonough and Fulton Counties…three applications were received. In District-7…which includes Mercer, Henry, Knox and Rock Island Counties, six applications were turned in. In our area, the state plans to issue one license per district.
A different Illinois department…Financial & Professional Regulation…has released its list of where the proposed medical marijuana dispensaries want to locate. In State Police District-14, just one application was filed. And just one came from District-7 as well. Some districts will get more than one license and there’ll be a second application period for districts where no qualified applications were submitted.
