The Burlington City Council meets this(Mon) afternoon at 5:30 and will be asked to decide whether to appoint…or elect…someone to fill Councilwoman Becky Shockley’s empty seat.
Shockley resigned September 8th…leaving four other members…and right now there’s a 2-2 tie as to which method would be best to use.
The Southeastern Community College Board meets in special session today(Mon) at 5 and the trustees will be asked to reject all bids for the new Health Sciences Building.
The West Burlington School board will also hold a special meeting this(Mon) evening at 6 to further discuss and vote on a potential December 2nd referendum and…possibly…take action on the petition signatures for the $6.75-million bond issue. The public is welcome to attend.
