Three young-people were killed…a fourth seriously injured…early this(Thur) morning in a one-car crash south of Macomb.
The victims have been identified as the 21-year old driver…Gabrielle Yocum…and two of her passengers…Cassie Roberts, also 21…and 23-year old Cedric Huffman. A third passenger…23-year old Justin Beer…was taken to OSF Hospital in Peoria. Illinois State Police say they don’t know where any of the victims are from.
Troopers say the 2010 Jeep was headed west on North 900th Road…just west of East 1000th Road…shortly after 2 o’clock this(Thur) morning when the SUV left the roadway on the north side…drove more than 200 feet through a ditch…and struck a tree, then an embankment. All four victims were wearing their seatbelts.
Deputies, paramedics and EMT’s from McDonough County…Colchester…Macomb…and Emmet-Chalmers all assisted at the scene.
