Madison freshman Aaron Steffensmeier.   Kaleb Wischmeier of Ft. Madison placed third. In the team standings, Washington, Fairfield and Keokuk came in third through fifth (behind Mt. Pleasant and Ft. Madison.)

In the girls SEC meet, Ft. Madison medalist Sara Steffensmeier edged teammate Kaylee Alvarez to lead the Bloodhounds past Fairfield, 29-42.   Mt. Pleasant was third and Washington fourth.   Keokuk didn’t have enough runners for a team score.

At the MAC meet in Bettendorf, the BHS boys finished 7th and the girls didn’t field enough runners for a team score, as Pleasant Valley won both team titles.

At the Mediapolis Invitational, L-M won the boys crown, followed by the host Bulldogs…and Mediapolis took the girls title, followed by Wapello.   The Bullettes Savannah Banwart was the girls’ individual medalist and ND-WB’s Baron West placed 5th for the boys.

And Danville-New London runners Gage Cumpton, Darian Pidgeon and Luke Hobbs placed 1-2-3 at the Central Lee Invitational, giving the Bears the team title. Danville-New London’s Kinsley Parrott placed first for the girls.
