We’ve talked about it before and today(Mon) it begins — Burlington city crews will start replacing the traffic signals at the intersections of 5th, 4th and 3rd Streets along Jefferson with 4-way stop signs.
During installation, each intersection will be controlled by a single, 4-way stop sign. Until the other intersections are replaced, they’ll be in red flash mode.
Meanwhile, the City’s contractor is scheduled to start painting pavement markings today(Mon) on 3rd Street from Market to Court…on 4th from Market to Valley…on 8th Street from Maple to Division…and on Central from Angular to Maple. During the project, parking will be closed or restricted on 3rd and 4th Streets..and additional traffic controls may be installed at all locations, causing some minor disruptions.
