Council to Vote on Odd-Even Parking Trial Tonight

The Burlington City Council meets today(Mon) at 5:30 and will recognize City Clerk Kathleen Salisbury for 35 years of public service.

 

On the regular portion of the agenda, the Council will be asked to give final approval to a couple changes in the Curfew Ordinance, requiring kids and young teens to be home earlier. Members will also be asked to vote on a resolution establishing certain narrow streets as “pilot” areas to try out an odd-even parking system during snowy weather.  Public Works Director Steve Hoambrecker says the residents of each area have been notified of the experiment.

Also meeting tonight(Mon) are the Southeastern Community College Board of Trustees(6 pm), which will reorganize, as required by law…..and the West Burlington School Board(7 pm).
