Burlington Council to Talk Downtown Parking

The Burlington City Council holds one of its every-other-week work sessions today(Mon) and will talk about downtown parking and the possible elimination of Saturday bus service.

The Downtown Partners Board is recommending that all one-hour parking limits on Jefferson Street be increased to two hours…that all time limits on all other downtown streets be changed to at least four hours…and that the City review the need for existing 10-minute spaces and change as necessary.

In addition, Downtown Partners would like the City to provide directional signage to public, off-street lots…to provide entry signage for public, off-street lots…and to remove prohibitory signage regarding biking and skateboarding.

Today’s(Mon) meeting is at 4:30 and the public is invited.
