N. London Man Turns Himself In on Sexual Assault Charge

A New London man turned himself in to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office this week, accused in mid-June of sexually assaulting a woman just west of New London.

36-year old David Smyth is facing a felony charge of 2nd degree sexual abuse. If convicted, he could spend up to 25 years in prison. Henry County deputies took Smyth to the county jail and a judge set his bond at $100,000, cash only.
