Lee County deputies have released details of a fatal accident early yesterday(Sun) involving a local man.
40-year old Chad Pumphrey of (704 Kilbourne) Denmark was killed when his vehicle slid on some ice on 303rd Avenue…just north of Ft. Madison…struck a guardrail…and rolled into the west ditch. Deputies say Pumphrey was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially thrown out, getting pinned under the vehicle. His passenger…44-year old Kristy Wagner, who lived with Pumphrey…was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
